BOMBAY SAPPHIRE BRINGS YOU DUSK

In celebration of 'The Blue Hour' we've created Bombay Sapphire Dusk at Somerset House. Commissioned by Design Research Studio under the creative direction of Tom Dixon, this elegant and contemporary pop-up bar will illuminate the River Terrace at dusk throughout the summer.

A luminous maze of internally lit blue panels provides the ideal atmosphere to welcome the day's end as you enjoy music performances and cultural events whilst sipping on a Bombay Sapphire cocktail from our copper cube bar. The bespoke drinks menu - developed by some of London's top bartenders and mixologists - takes inspiration from the heritage of Bombay Sapphire's 10 exotic botanicals. A new concoction will be added every 3 weeks.

Come join us for a refreshing Lazy Somer Bombay Sapphire, a delicious Bombay Dusk Flower or an elegant Thrown to Bombay Paradise cocktail at Bombay Sapphire Dusk from 21 May - 18 October 2009. Check back here for events info & updates, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

Also, if you want to take a closer look at what Somerset House has to offer then follow them to on Facebook, YouTube and Flickr.

TOM DIXON

At the creative helm of Bombay Sapphire Dusk is world renowned designer Tom Dixon - famous for his role as creative director of Habitat, and responsible for the modern iconic interior design of Shoreditch House, Habitat Regent's Street and Oliver Peyton's 'Inn at the Park'.

Tom and his team at Design Research Studio took their inspiration from our iconic bottle when envisioning the bar at Somerset House. The translucent 'Rodeca' polycarbonate panelling glows our unique shade of blue. Its design will evolve over the months. A sleek cube bar is even inspired by the copper stills used to create the subtle flavours of Bombay Sapphire gin.
